Raging within the cavern of our soul, paradoxical patterns battle as yearning is mixed with aloneness; fear of being loved tries to overwhelm not ever having experienced true love; doubt engulfs surety; and self-loathing takes on
self-acceptance. You will rise! You must rise! You were born to be a warrior! A luminous warrior!
To be a luminous warrior is to discover the power of fearlessness. Luminous warriors recognize that our job is to use love to vanquish its opposite – and its opposite is not hate, but fear. In the same way that darkness is the absence of light, fear is the absence of love. Our challenge is to exorcise the fear and its darkness within by embracing love and its light.
Wandering through the long grass, she felt the freedom never felt. Walking through the forest, the trees swayed to the bird songs, reminding her everywhere was beauty. Colours blossomed. Scents kissed her breath. At last, she had come home. The home she had never left. She had found it within her own heart and soul. Home to herself. She realised that the key was within her own vulnerability – the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome. It was the only path to love, belonging, creativity, and joy. That living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall. It is the rise from falling that from which we learn the hardest and greatest lessons.
